0. No Electronics Allowed

禁止携带电子设备

  • No Devices in Class: iPads, laptops, and other electronic devices are not allowed during ESL class.
    禁止使用设备： ESL 课堂禁止使用 iPad、笔记本电脑等任何电子设备。

  • Turn In at the Start: If you bring a device, please place it on the teacher’s desk at the beginning of class and retrieve it after class ends.
    上课前上交设备： 如携带设备，请在上课前放在老师桌上，下课后自行领取。

1. Be Prepared

一、课前准备

  • Come Prepared: Always come to class with all necessary materials, including:
    按时准备： 上课前请带好所有学习用品，包括：
    • At least two pens (one for writing, one red for corrections)
      至少两支笔（一支用于书写，一支红笔用于订正）
    • ESL textbook and practice notebook
      ESL 教材和练习本
    • Any printouts given by the teacher
      老师发放的所有打印资料
    • A grammar book and the English in Use grammar book (for ESL Speaking class)
      一本语法书和《English in Use》语法练习书（ESL 口语课专用）
  • Stay in Class: You cannot leave to fetch forgotten items like pens, books, or homework during class time.
    不离开教室： 上课期间不得因忘带笔、本或作业等物品而离开教室。

2. Punctuality

二、准时到课

  • Arrive on Time: Be on time for the start of the class.
    准时到达： 课前务必准时进入教室，按时开始上课。

  • Finish on Time: Be ready to finish the class as scheduled.
    按时结束： 上课结束时请准时完成课程内容，准备离开教室。

3. Classroom Behavior

三、课堂纪律

  • No Distractions: No talking, playing, or doing unrelated work during class.
    禁止干扰： 上课期间不得聊天、玩耍或做与课堂无关的事情。

  • Focus on Class: Only class-related work and discussion are allowed.
    专注学习： 仅可进行与课程相关的学习和讨论。

  • Enforcement: If you are found breaking the rules (such as talking excessively, disturbing others, or not working) more than three times in one class:
    违规处理： 若在一节课中三次以上违反课堂纪律（如频繁讲话、打扰他人、不专心）：

    • Warnings: The first two occurrences will result in verbal warnings.
      前两次： 将给予口头警告。

    • Reflective Board: On the third occurrence, you must write your name on the reflective board.
      第三次： 需在反思板上签名。

4. Classroom Maintenance

四、教室卫生

  • Keep It Clean: Keep the classroom clean and do not leave trash in the drawer.
    保持整洁： 请保持教室清洁，不要将垃圾留在抽屉中。

5. Accountability

五、责任制度

  • Breaking any of the following rules will result in signing your name on the reflective board:
    违反以下任意规则需在反思板上签名：

    1. Being late to class
      上课迟到
    2. Leaving the classroom during class time (each time = one signature)
      上课期间离开教室（每次离开签一次名）
    3. Forgetting to bring required materials such as pens, books, or grammar books
      忘记带必需物品（如笔、本子、语法书）

  • Missing homework results in immediate detention.
    未完成作业将直接受到午间留堂惩戒。

  • Three signatures in a month = detention.
    每月累计三次签名将被午间留堂惩戒。

  • Monthly Refresh: The board is refreshed monthly. If you have fewer than three signatures by the end of the month, you will only lose class participation points, but you will not receive detention.
    每月更新： 反思板每月清零，若当月签名次数少于三次，仅会扣除课堂参与分，不会被留堂。
