Describe an environmental law you would like your country to introduce

You should say:

Stricter Carbon-Emission Regulations

A. Story Snapshot

One-line summary:

I would like my country to introduce stricter regulations on carbon emissions. I first became interested in the idea through Bill Gates, but a video about a serious environmental disaster near the Nepal–China border made the issue feel much more real to me.

Best for these topics:

Logic path:

LAW
stricter carbon-emission regulations
        ↓
HOW?
EV subsidies + cleaner energy + stricter rules for companies
        ↓
FIRST INSPIRATION
Bill Gates / clean-energy technologies
        ↓
"But at that point, it was still abstract."
        ↓
REAL EVENT
video about the Nepal–China border disaster
        ↓
IMPACT
environment → people's homes and lives
        ↓
BACK TO THE LAW
reduce emissions + encourage cleaner choices

Emotion path:

curious → abstract → shocked → concerned → convinced

B. Story Skeleton

The law: stricter regulations on carbon emissions

How it could work: subsidies for EV purchases + stricter rules for companies to switch to cleaner energy

First inspiration: reading about Bill Gates and clean-energy technologies he has supported

Turning point: watching a video about the devastating floods and mudslides near the Nepal–China border in late August 2026

What I realized: environmental problems do not only affect nature; they can directly affect people’s homes and lives

Conclusion: support stricter carbon-emission laws and make greener choices easier and more affordable

C. From Recording 1 to Recording 2

Version 1|

carbon-emission law
    ↓
Bill Gates
    ↓
Nepal disaster
    ↓
glaciers
    ↓
people losing homes
    ↓
clean energy / EVs

Version 1|

Well, in our country, I guess I would like to have regulations about reducing carbon emissions, because I think it’s such a big and important problem worldwide.

I first learned about this through reading about Bill Gates. He was pushing clean-energy ideas, and learning about his work made me start thinking about how important this issue is.

Then I thought about what happened recently near Nepal and Tibet. There was a major landslide, and the area was badly affected by mud and debris.

It is getting very challenging for us to keep temperatures low enough in high-altitude areas so that the ice on top of the mountains does not melt. There is also a subtle balance between the environment and people’s lives.

After the incident, many people became homeless. That’s why I think we need to cut down our carbon emissions, probably by adopting more clean energy and giving people enough subsidies to buy EVs.

Version 2|

But at that point, it was still quite an abstract idea to me.

Bill Gates
    ↓
I understood the idea intellectually.
    ↓
BUT it still felt abstract.
    ↓
I watched a real disaster.
    ↓
Now the environmental problem felt real.

carbon-emission regulations
├─ subsidies for EV purchases
└─ stricter rules for companies
      ↓
   cleaner energy

Version 2|

Well, one environmental law I’d like my country to introduce and enforce is cutting down carbon emissions.

There are many different ways to do this, probably through subsidies for EV purchases or stricter rules for companies to switch to cleaner energy.

I first got this idea when I was reading about Bill Gates and some of the new technologies he has supported.

But that was still just an abstract idea. It didn’t really feel personal until I watched a video about what happened near Nepal and Tibet. There was a major landslide recently, and a lot of people lost their homes and lives.

It reminded me how fragile our environment is, especially in high-altitude areas, where glaciers and ice can be extremely unstable and vulnerable.

And it doesn’t just affect the environment. It also affects the people living in those areas.

That’s why I think it’s very important for our country to strengthen laws on carbon emissions.

EV subsidies / company rules

Final revision|

1. Bill Gates

Bill Gates

He got me interested in the issue.

It made me think about how rising temperatures can make already fragile mountain environments even more vulnerable.

重点是 made me think about,而不是强行证明单一因果。

That’s why I’d strongly support stricter carbon-emission laws in my country.

Tip: Listen once, repeat once, then use the chunk in one complete sentence.

E. Master Story: Angle Shift Table

Master Story

MASTER STORY
├─ LAW branch
│ ├─ environmental law
│ ├─ new law
│ └─ law on environmental protection
│
├─ VIDEO branch
│ └─ Nepal–China border disaster video
│
└─ PERSON branch
   └─ Bill Gates / clean-energy interest
Describe an environmental law you would like your country to introduce ★★★★★
Describe a new law you would like to introduce in your country ★★★★★ 开头去掉 environmental,后面基本不变 把 carbon-emission regulation 当作“新法律”
Describe a law on environmental protection ★★★★★ 强调这是一类 environmental protection law 重点放在减排、清洁能源、长期影响
Describe an interesting video ★★★★★ Nepal–China border video
Describe someone who is older than you that you admire ★★★☆☆ Bill Gates
Describe a piece of local news that people are interested in ★★☆☆☆ 不建议硬套原故事,除非你本来就在讲自己所在地区的相关事件 Nepal–China border 对大多数学生来说不是 local news

Describe an interesting video

Describe an interesting video

LAW
↓
Bill Gates
↓
video
↓
impact

改成:

VIDEO
Nepal–China border disaster
        ↓
WHAT I SAW
floods / mud / damaged homes
        ↓
WHY IT WAS INTERESTING
I had only understood climate issues in an abstract way before
        ↓
WHAT I REALIZED
environmental problems can become human problems
        ↓
IMPACT ON ME
I started thinking more seriously about emissions and clean energy

Master Story

Master Story

F. Reference Version

Well, one environmental law I’d like my country to introduce and enforce is stricter regulation on carbon emissions.

There are several ways this could work. For example, the government could provide more subsidies for EV purchases and introduce stricter rules requiring large companies to switch to cleaner energy sources.

I first became interested in this idea when I was reading about Bill Gates and some of the clean-energy technologies he has supported. His work made me realize that we need to find alternatives to traditional ways of producing and using energy.

But at that point, it was still quite an abstract idea to me. It didn’t really feel personal until I watched a video about the devastating floods and mudslides near the Nepal–China border in late August 2026. The disaster followed a glacier collapse, and many people lost their homes and lives.

Of course, I can’t say climate change was the only cause, but it made me think about how rising temperatures can make already fragile high-altitude environments even more vulnerable.

And what really struck me was that this doesn’t just affect the environment; it also affects the people living there. Environmental problems can eventually become very serious human problems.

So that’s why I’d strongly support stricter carbon-emission laws in my country. I think encouraging clean energy and making greener choices more affordable could help reduce these risks in the long run.

G. After Your First Recording

Don’t add more ideas. Connect the ideas you already have.
